What Cheer?
The holidays can be stressful no matter how awesome of a family you come from. But throw in a few variables and the holidays can send many people into a not-so-happy place. While we'd all like to have an idyllic holiday season, the fact is that the holidays are loaded with many possible triggers and negative associations. You may already know what I'm talking about and be nodding your head yes, but here are just a few examples of what some people experience during holiday season.
  • Women experiencing a difficult fertility journey may find being around infants and happy families heart wrenching.
  • Some people, despite trying very hard, can't seem to keep calm around a certain relative. This behavior, and the guilt that follows may feel totally out of their control.
  • Gift buying, or even driving in holiday traffic, may cause stress and unexplained aches and pains.
  • Many financially stressed parents have feelings of inadequacy or depression.
  • Perhaps someone you loved died around the holidays and it is a sad reminder.
  • People who are recently single, or have been for a long time, may feel many painful emotions during these two months of the year.
While it's important to know your limits and be compassionate with yourself, it is also important to be able to function and feel in control of your life.

Using hypnotherapy and other powerful tools, we can work together to desensitize you to the people or situations that may trigger unwanted behavior or emotions.
